I already knew Kim's work, but it wasn't until I sat down with her in her childhood home that I truly glimpsed the person behind the artist. Her world feels whimsical, like a cabinet of curiosities. There are deep ties to the ocean, to the island she calls home. And beneath it all a sense of urgency: a need to protect the very environment that shapes her art.
